SRI’s Self-Cooling Paint earns recognition from Bloomberg

BloombergNEF named SRI’s Self-Cooling Paint a finalist in its annual BNEF Pioneers competition, which focuses on innovations paving the way to a net-zero economy.

Bloomberg’s annual BNEF Pioneers competition celebrates “leading innovations that we think could play an important role in the path to a net-zero economy.”

This year, SRI’s Self-Cooling Paint was named as a finalist in the category of “Boosting climate adaptation capabilities.”

SRI’s novel paint not only reflects visible light but actively radiates heat away from the surface, passively cooling the surface (or building) on which it is applied. The paint is poised to transform how corporations, cities, and consumers manage thermal regulation without energy consumption.
